The month of January is the start to many new things- including a new addition to our Langford family! The counseling department now has an intern! We are so happy to have her be a part of our team as she learns about a comprehensive school counseling program at the elementary level.

During the month of January we will review our mindset of "We are Connected." This mindset reinforces that what we do and say effects others. This mindset will combined with a "buck filling" for grades K-2. Grades 3-5 will watch a short video that documents a high school student that created a club so that no student had to eat alone during lunch. Our goal is have our students that their words and actions are valuable and we should be using them to kind, helpful and respectful.

Did we cover this mindset already? Yes, we did! This was our first mindset during the month of August. However, with the winter break just behind us, we thought this would be a great reminder of how we are a family here at Langford and we are all indeed connected.

How can you reinforce this at home? As always, model this behavior. Show students that you are mindful of your words and actions towards others.
