The month of May has arrived and the character trait of the month is perseverance. During classroom lessons students will be given activities that intentionally challenge them. We will then discuss the challenge and what it truly means to persevere. The observance of Teacher Appreciation Week is also within the month of May. We will make sure that our teachers and staff know how much we appreciate them not just during this week but every single day! What can I do as a parent to support/foster the character trait if perseverance? Have conversations with your student about the word. Ask what do they hear about the word in school? What was the classroom lesson with the counselor like and as always model perseverance for your student.
