In November, we collected over 400 canned goods for Harvest Hope Food Bank! Thank you to our Langford family for always supporting your local community and the efforts of the Langford Community Service Club.  

December is here! We are focusing on the Mindset - "Live to Give!" This Mindset goes hand in hand with our previous Mindset of an "Attitude of Gratitude!" During this month, students will explore making a difference through giving. We want our students to know that giving comes in many forms. Giving can come in the form of time, talents, and even compliments! We are excited to see what gifts that students share with their Langford family. 

Middle school students will begin their middle school transition lessons during their Counselor Class times. This will include examining Magnet programs at different middle schools within the district, preparing for interviews and having an opportunity to ask questions about the structure of a middle school day (classes, electives, lunches, etc.) 

December is always an exciting time here at Langford as students look forward to the winter break. In support of our Mindset of the month, you can ask your student about their gifts and talents? As always, modeling a giving attitude is the best way to teach and instill this Mindset within your students.

In the month of December we focused on the mindset of Live to Give! Student explored what that truly means. Students were encouraged to think of things to give that were not available in stores but things that come straight from the heart. When we return in January, we will revisit our mindset of being connected. This will serve as a reminder to our students that we are a family here at Langford and we are ALL connected. WELCOME BACK!!!

🐾Welcome back Langford students and parents! 🐾 We have missed each and everyone of you! We are excited to start our school year. It may be a little different than we are used to, yet, we are committed to providing students with a premier educational experience. We will begin our year focused on the Mindset that "We are Connected." We understand that not being in the same physical space with each other can pose feelings of disconnect, that is why this particular mindset is extremely important as we begin our year. Logging into scheduled class meetings and instructional times are great ways to increase feelings of connection. Encourage and support your student to log in and participate with their teacher and classmates! Catch up with friends to during a Google Meet to see how they are doing!  The school counselor will provide virtual lessons for students in Google classroom, as well as supporting teachers and students as needed. This month has come with a load of changes for us here within the district. Please know that even though are schools are closed, your school counselor is still available to our students and their families. This is a time that may feel really strange to our students as they are accustomed to being inside of our building weekly. I am available via email and will do my best to reply to them to address your needs. As things continue to develop and change, as parents you can support and reinforce what we were working on at school with our Mindset of being 100% accountable. Some students were already provided this lesson and discussed ways and ideas that they can be accountable at home and at school. Again, know that we are missing the faces of our students that we are so used to seeing. Also, I am only an email away if you or your student requires assistance. Thank you and stay well.
